π Verse of the Day:
"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?' Jesus answered, 'I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.'" β Matthew 18:21β22 (NIV) πποΈ
π Forgiveness Isnβt a Number β Itβs a Lifestyle π
Forgiving once is hard enough. But Jesus calls us to live with open hands and open hearts, continually releasing offense and bitterness.
π§Ό Forgiveness isnβt excusing what happened β itβs choosing freedom over resentment. Every time you forgive, you break a chain and open space for healing and grace.
π‘ Lewis B. Smedes said, βTo forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.β π Donβt carry the weight another day. Let it go.
π Who do you need to forgive β again? Write their name down. Pray over it. Release them and yourself in Christ. π¬
π Prayer π
Jesus, Youβve forgiven me over and over β help me do the same. Heal my heart, soften my spirit, and teach me to let go of pain. I choose forgiveness today. In Your name, Amen. πποΈ
π¬ Forgiveness doesnβt excuse the wrong β it releases the weight. Walk in freedom. πποΈ
π’ Know someone struggling to forgive? Share this. Remind them: forgiveness frees the forgiver. ππ
