Who You Are In Christ
Who You Are In Christ

🌾 Who do you think you are?

I want you to say out loud who you think you are before you continue reading this devotional. I know some of you may have said some positive things, and some may not have, and that's perfectly fine. You see, the world has a way of making us belittle ourselves, and some of you who said positive things about yourself may have been cautious so as not to say something you don't think you're capable of. You need to know who you are and what your worth is. Stop belittling yourself. You can do so much more, you are worth so much more, you are stronger, smarter, and more intelligent than you think. Let's go through the scriptures to see who we actually are.

From Genesis 1:27 in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, it states, "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" we see that we are created in the Image of GOD, you are not small, He created the world in 6 days, He's a creator and so are you, dont say you cant do this or that, The bible says that we can do all thing through Him. No matter what your past may have been, no matter how bad things may have been, all those things don't define you because you have a higher identity.

One thing I would like you to always tell yourself is that I am made in the image of God, I have His blood flowing in my veins, He has wonderful plans for me, and with the provision He has provided, I will achieve that which He has told me to do.

πŸ’‘ How sure are you that I'm actually His?

Looking at Ephesians 2:10 (KJV), it says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them", this clearly shows us that all the plans He has for us are of good, lets look at 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) which says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." We can see that your past doesn't matter because you are a new creature in God.

Knowing who you are in Christ is really important, don't let the lies of the devil deceive you; don't let your family, friends, cousins, parents, etc., make you see yourself less than what God says.

It’s really easy to believe lies, especially when they make it look so true. Look at the word of God to see who you are, because if we are made in the image of God, we are replicas of Him, meaning who He is, is who we are.

πŸ”‘ Never Forget These

  • ✨ You are made in God's image
  • ✨ The world can't define you
  • ✨ Anything that says less than what God says you are in His word is a lie
  • ✨ We are deeply loved.

πŸ€” Let's reflect

1. Do you see yourself the way God sees you?
2. Am I ready to leave what the world calls me to take up what God calls me?
3. How does knowing you are made in God’s image change the way you see yourself today?
4. Have I fully accepted 2 Corinthians 5:17

πŸ™ Prayer For The Day

Father, thank You for creating me in Your image and making me new in Christ Jesus. Open my eyes to see myself the way You see me, as valuable, loved, and full of purpose. Silence every lying voice that tries to tell me who I am not. Fill me afresh with Your Spirit so I can live boldly as Your child today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
